Race for the Cure...

Like I said in a previous post I do Race for the Cure every year in some form or another. Well I never in a million years thought I would get Jesse out of bed early on Sunday to come do it with me, but this year he surprised me. We got up early, rode our bikes downtown, got our race shirts & numbers, and headed out on our 5k journey. It was a sea of pink as always. I believe they said the numbers are estimated somewhere over 55,000 people were in attendance this year. I can believe it, because it was unreal how many people were there and we were numbers 39,728 & 39,729. We participated in the 2nd race/walk of the morning and we got their early to get our numbers, so who knows how many people actually showed up for the festivities. Here are some pictures from our journey.

The Denver FireFighters were out in full support wearing their pink shirts.

It was a long morning and quite the work out, but we loved every minute of it. Jesse was completely in awe of how many people actually turned out especially since this is his first charity race. We're both anxious to watch the news tonight and hear what the final numbers were.

P.S. Mom- I may do this every year, but like I said Jesse doesn't. I know he did this just for you.
