Well as most of you know I got a new full time job. I'll be a full time nanny starting tomorrow. I will really miss my part time nanny work, but I can still occasionally babysit for them so I won't be loosing contact completely. This new job is really great for me though. They have it set up to take taxes out automatically and I get direct deposit 2xs a month. The parents are separated which means that 1 week a month the child goes to stay with his dad and I get the week off. This could change after October when they have their next custody hearing, but we think it will stay like this until the child goes to full time Kindergarten next year. Having a week off every month is fine by me. I can have time to plan wedding stuff, make a trip home, get stuff done around our house, or just relax. For now the child is in half day preschool 3days a week. While he's in school I will be doing some light house work and shopping for the mom and when he's out of school we will be checking out all the local activities for preschoolers (museums, library, park, zoo, etc...). It should be fun. This job pays great and the hours are early (5:30am-2:00pm), but that means I will have my afternoons free. Another big perk of this job is the car. Yes, she bought a car for me to use while working. This means I keep the car at my place and drive it to work everyday. A HUGE help to us since we only have 1 car and now both of us work far from where we live. I was told she would be getting a used car, but knowing her I knew it would be something nice. Even though I knew it would be nice I was really blown out of the water to see just how nice it was. Here is my new work car...

LEXUS IS250
2007 Fully Loaded w/ just under 30,000 miles
It's really pretty and I'm slightly terrified to drive it. It's basically a way nicer version of our car. It's even got that *car of the future keyless thing going on.
You just push the button to start and stop it.

In preparation for this job I bought myself what I'm calling my nanny bag. It's sort of like a glorified purse/diaper bag. It's completely water/spill proof. It's funky and stylish. It's also packed with everything I will need a 1st aid kit, hand wipes & sanitizer, travel kleenex, sunblock, toy cars, snacks, etc... I love it.

Now Jesse and I just need to figure out how to secure the car seat in the back of this Lexus and I'll be ready for 1st day tomorrow. This should be comical.
