Piggy Bank...

As a baby shower present for one of the girls I supervise I decided to decorate a piggy bank. All the members of the Education staff have been saving up their change for the last month, so we can fill that little piggy's belly. It was nice to get a few hours to relax and not think about work. My friend Tana went with me to the pottery studio and we chatted and painted for several hours last weekend. Here is the finished product. I think it turned out pretty cute. I hope she likes it. Several little old ladies who were painting next to us really loved the little guy and they told me it was a lovely idea for a baby shower gift. That kind of made my day.

i want to go to a pottery studio when we're out there! how long does it take to be able to pick the stuff up?? also, maybe you could help try to explain to logan that banks are called "piggy" banks, he refuses to beleive me, and calls them "penny" banks.

I like his idea of calling it a penny bank. What's so wrong with that? Isn't kind of weird that we call them all piggy banks when they aren't normally a pig? It takes a week to get the pottery back, but I can ship it to you. There's also a pottery studio in the mall with the arcade, glow-in-the dark mini-golf, the movie theater, and the carousel.
